About Me
Hey there! I’m Chris, but you probably already figured that. Welcome to my little corner of the internet. If you’re here to see what I’ve made and what I’ve done professionally, you’re in the right place. But if you’re looking for a bit of extra spice, you can find my personal studies.
For those wanting to gleam a bit more about my professional life, I’ve worked as a Product Designer in start up settings, as a freelancer, and in settings that exposed my work to 5–10M users on a monthly basis for the past 3 years. All of which have lead me to hone my craft to fit the needs of any environment I’m in. I love what I do: see problems that others may not see and finding ways into which I can remedy them. Its like being a doctor, but for design. I guess my years of watching Scrubs and Grey’s Anatomy rubbed off somewhere! But it wasn’t just tangentially related shows that helped form the bedrock of my design expertise.
Beyond product design, I found multiple connected niches. In my university years I picked up videography which inevitably lead to VFX work. Programs like Premiere Pro and After Effects became as familiar to me as my home neighborhood. This lead me to working in a marketing office for a few years as the videographer and VFX artist at my university’s marketing department. I was also surrounded by some of the greatest graphic designers I had ever had the pleasure of working with. While I strengthened my core skills of motion design, they taught me more than I could have hoped for in the realm of static design. After my years of studies had come to an end, I had decided that I was going to jump feet first into freelance, taking all that i had learned and hoping to offer it to those who needed my skills. To this day, I still learn, I still grow, and I branch out beyond what I already know to become more well rounded.
It is my philosophy that as people first, professions are a portion that makes us up, but so to do our own personal interests. So if you’re into in depth studies of how video game UI changes a players entire perception of a game and experience of a game’s world, or how music can tell the story of a game before a player even presses start, I’d reckon you’re in the right place
